How it works
A septic tank depends on beneficial bacteria to break down solids. Septic Care keeps large numbers of those bacteria present in the tank and along the drain lines, so organic waste is digested and liquefied instead of clogging the drain field, mound or leach bed.
How to use
- Initial treatment: for every 500 gallons of tank capacity, mix 1 pound of Septic Care with 1 gallon of warm (85°–100°F) water. Let stand 30 minutes, then pour into a toilet and flush.
- Monthly: use 1/4 pound per month.
- Sluggish drain field, leach bed or mound: dissolve 1 pound in a gallon of warm water and pour into the distribution box or breather pipe. Repeat weekly until flow improves.
